Hinkro Kente welcomes AI-generated or AI-modified images as inspiration for bespoke designs. However, these images may depict textures, colors, pattern details, proportions, finishes or visual effects that cannot be reproduced accurately through physical Kente weaving. Acceptance of an image for consultation or quotation does not constitute a promise to reproduce it exactly.
1. Interpretation and Achievable Results
Hinkro Kente will use its expertise and reasonable care to translate the agreed features of an AI reference into woven Kente. The finished fabric may differ from the image in texture, pattern scale, motif definition, spacing, color interaction, sheen, drape and overall appearance because of the materials and weaving techniques involved. An exact visual match is not guaranteed.
2. Original References, Symbols and Design Interpretation
Clients should identify images they know to be AI-generated or AI-modified. Where an image draws on an existing design, symbol, motif or other inspiration, clients should provide the original reference where available. Clients must clearly identify any specific symbols, colors, meanings or design details they want preserved, including essential requirements for motif size, placement, dominant color, border or finish. Hinkro Kente will confirm which requirements can be incorporated into the agreed design.
AI images may distort, obscure or incompletely represent intricate symbols and patterns. Hinkro Kente cannot be expected to identify or reconstruct an underlying symbol, meaning or reference that the client has not supplied or clearly explained.
Where the original reference is unavailable or the AI image is unclear or unsuitable for weaving, Hinkro Kente may reinterpret or redesign the pattern into a weavable design for the client's approval before production. Production will follow that approved interpretation, including any expressly agreed details.
3. Approval of Production Details
Before production, the client and Hinkro Kente will confirm the applicable design details, including thread cone colors, pattern, dimensions and any agreed sample strip. Final thread colors are those of the cones presented to and approved by the client. Colors appearing in an AI image are reference colors only.
The expressly agreed production specifications and any approved physical sample form the basis for assessing the finished fabric. Any feature of an AI image that must be reproduced must be specifically discussed and accepted by Hinkro Kente as part of those specifications.
4. Weaving Effects and Technical Decisions
The interaction of warp and weft threads can affect how colors and patterns appear in the finished cloth. AI images may not accurately represent these effects. Hinkro Kente may recommend adjustments needed to produce a workable woven design. Any adjustment affecting an expressly agreed requirement will be referred to the client for approval before it is implemented.
Warp color and border selection follow our Bespoke Service Terms. Clients must communicate any specific preferences before production so they can be confirmed as part of the agreed design.
5. Changes After Approval
Clients should resolve questions about the proposed interpretation before authorizing production. Requests to change approved details after production begins may require additional design work, materials or weaving, with associated charges and revised timelines agreed before the additional work proceeds. 6. Differences, Complaints and Remedies
Where Hinkro Kente has followed the agreed production specifications and applicable approved sample, differences arising solely from unrealistic AI imagery, disclosed weaving effects or expectations that were not communicated and agreed upon do not, by themselves, constitute a production fault or grounds for a refund, replacement or free alteration.
This policy does not exclude responsibility for defective workmanship, the use of unapproved thread colors or failure to meet expressly agreed specifications. Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies available under applicable law. Concerns will be assessed alongside our Refund Policy.
